LiuGong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Thailand Branch
On the morning of June 8, 2022, the launch ceremony of LiuGong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Thailand Branch and LiuGong–LVTC International Craftsmen College of Thailand was held by Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College (hereinafter referred to as "LVTC"), Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "LiuGong") and Panyapiwat Institute of Management ( hereinafter referred to as “PIM”) in Thailand, opening a new chapter of cooperation between China's higher vocational college and enterprise in cultivating excellent skilled talent abroad for Chinese enterprises.
Since the official signing of the college running cooperation agreement among LVTC, LiuGong and PIM in December last year, smooth progress has been made in every aspect of work, including the construction of the above-mentioned experience center, the training of the lecturers from PIM, and the output of Chinese vocational education standards. At present, LiuGong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Thailand Branch has been completed, while all the teaching equipment invested by LiuGong has been moved into the center and debugged. In March 2022, overcoming the difficulties during the pandemic a team of two professional professors from LVTC and one trainer from LiuGong were sent to Thailand to give a successful training to six lecturers from PIM who obtained the certificates after and meanwhile the "Enterprise-Tailored Class" was set up. Until now LVTC has provided PIM with the curriculum, the training base construction standard, six course syllabuses and five textbooks in both English and Thai. As the same time LVTC built five online professional courses in English and Chinese as a Foreign Language, which makes the remote sharing of teaching resources with Thailand possible..
After the launching ceremony, the first training for LiuGong's dealers in the Asia-Pacific Region undertaken by the LiuGong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Thailand Branch will be officially carried out. Ten dealer service personnel from Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar will receive a three-week Intermediate Service Qualification Training in the field of excavator, gearbox and engine at the brand new experience center. The first LiuGong-Tailored-Class for Thai students undertaken by LiuGong–LVTC International Craftsman College of Thailand will also open at the end of this June. In six-month training, outstanding students will be given scholarships from LiuGong and LVTC and have opportunities to learn at the headquarters of the LiuGong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center at LVTC in Liuzhou, Guangxi, and also to obtain the chance for an internship in LiuGong.
The establishment of LiuGong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Thailand Branch and LiuGong–LVTC International Craftsmen College of Thailand coincides with the period when the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) officially takes effect. This marks another important initiative of LVTC to respond to the call for promoting the opening-up of national education, to accompany the leading regional enterprises to "go global" and to support enterprises to upgrade their global service. This is also another "LVTC Solution" provided by LVTC in actively exploring the deepening of college-enterprise cooperation in carrying out international vocational education. During the implementation of the project, the curriculum and training resource packages developed by Chen Lichuang and other lecturers of LVTC have been certified as the 2022 International Teaching Resources of Vocational Education for ASEAN by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In May 2022, LVTC's "China-Thailand Construction Machinery Local Skilled Talent Enterprise-Tailored Training Program" stood out of 76 projects proposed by various provinces in China, and was successfully included in the fifth batch of "China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs" by China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE). This marks that LVTC’s persistence on serving the globalization of regional enterprises and its principle of promoting international college running through college-enterprise cooperation are recognized by the government and its counterparts. In the future, LVTC will strengthen international college running philosophy, optimize specialty construction, expand cooperation channels to support regional enterprises to "go global". It will strive to cultivate an increasing number of excellent, skilled local technicians in countries along the Belt and Road to solve the bottleneck problem of the insufficient supply of technical talent faced by Chinese enterprises when developing overseas .
