The School of Automotive Engineering offers seven majors: New Energy Vehicle Technology,Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Technology, Automobile Application and Maintenance Technology, Automobile Marketing and Service, Automobile Intelligent Technology, Auto Body Repair Technology and Applied Technology of Construction Machinery. Relying on the automobile industry in Liuzhou, the School has carried out in-depth cooperation with leading enterprises in pillar industries such as SAIC Volkswagen, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Guangxi Automobile Group, DFLZM and Guangxi LiuGong Machinery. Besides, through Ministry of Education - SGAVE project, the School has introduced a full set of German professional standards for advanced vocational education and built a national first-class information-based management training base and an international teaching team, which have won a number of national teaching achievements, and thus become a first-class and leading school of automotive engineering in China and in the world.

At present, there are more than 1,700 full-time students and 70 faculty members, including 43 full-time teachers, with senior titles accounting for 30%. It has one star teacher at autonomous-region level, one excellent teaching team at autonomous-region level and four young technical experts in Liuzhou. For three consecutive years, the average employment rate of the School has reached 95.4%.
