News Web (Text by Fu Wei, Tan Qiaoxiu and Luo Guixiang from Electronic Information Engineering School, photo by Kong Yiyan, Jiang Wensheng and Xie Lixin from Electronic Information Engineering School) To fulfill the college mission of “Based on Liuzhou, serving the local” and upon the request of the enterprise, Electronic Information Engineering School together with Collaborative Innovation Institute of the College held the training class of Big Data Engineer for SGMW in Classroom 607, Jingze Building. There were 32 trainees from the company who participated in the training.

As information technology in new generation is being extensively applied, the human being has entered the era of big data. As a significant strategic resource and core innovation factor, big data has become the new engine for promoting the society and economic development. To build the talent team in a high level of industrialization and informatization, SGMW discussed with the College about the training class of Big Data Engineer. Electronic Information Engineering School made full use of its advantage in information technology and undertook this task together with Collaborative Innovation Institute of the College.

After the brief class opening ceremony, Ms. Chen Dongling, the Deputy Director of Collaborative Innovation Institute of the College took the subject of “Entering Big Data”, and explained the international development trend of big data, 4V characteristics of big data, the thinking reform brought by big data with profundity in simple language, analyzed the application of big data in industrialization and informatization in details for the trainees, and enabled the trainees to get fully aware of the urgency and significance of big data application. Ms. Chen also made thorough interpretation on the latest policies, standard system, new technology, and application cases of big data; made full use of the teaching resources, adopted multiple teaching methods reasonably, paid attention to inspire the trainees’ thinking, undertook skillful interaction with the trainees, and created enthusiastic atmosphere for the training. The trainees spoke highly of the training and believed that they got to know the latest international development trend of big data through this training and further understood the bright prospect of Internet technology in industrial area, and the training was a success.

This training had promoting effect on the promotion of healthy development of big data industry and the innovative application of big data in enterprises. It did not only deepen the college-enterprise cooperation project, but also gave powerful support to the local economy development, which won the praise of the enterprise.
