The Twentieth Track and Field Sports Meeting Opened, Students and Teachers Attended Actively

The crowd was surging and the flags were fluttering on the site. College leaders Zhu Weicai, Shi Lingming, Zhang Xiang, Yang Xu, Yang Yi, Lin Ruosen, Qu Fan, Ju Hongxia, Ran Fusong attended the opening ceremony, which was hosted by Huang Zhiqiang, the Director of Party Committee Office and Administrative Office.

The march-in ceremony started at 8:20 a.m. Accompanied by exciting "Athletes March", the national flag team, college flag team, the sports flag team, the referee team and the teacher union branch team, student delegation from secondary departments, a total of 23 teams walked through the rostrum. Teachers and students were saying slogans while marching vigorously with great spirits, highlighting the college staff's quality of pursuing excellence.

Accompanied by the solemn national anthem and college anthem, the national flag, college flag, and flag of the game were rising in the vast stadium. All teachers and students saluted with eyes.

The President Shi Lingming made an opening speech and he pointed out that in 2017, teachers and students should focus their work on the development strategy of "taking the lead in the world, upgrading the connotation and simultaneously promoting six practices to build a well-known higher vocational college with distinctive characteristics", make efforts in "management demonstration, reform demonstration, development demonstration" , focus on the key points and difficulties, identify the entry point, seize the dominating point, and conduct actual practice of the spirit of "improve vocational education and training system, deepen the integration of production and education, college-enterprise cooperation" proposed in the Party's 19th National Congress on vocational education. The college's international strategy has promoted work in all areas by drawing upon the experience gained on key points, comprehensively introduced international advanced vocational education standards, actively establish domestic and international strategic cooperation with international well-known enterprises, helped enterprises to complete the strategy of international talent reserve, helped Chinese enterprises to go global, and served the construction of the Belt and Road. The upgrading of the connotation of the College has formed a distinctive brand, and built a large number of national, autonomous regional brand majors, curriculum and training base. The number of patent applications and authorization, as well as the number of national and autonomous regional-level teaching teams and teaching masters ranked first in Guangxi higher vocational colleges. These achievements is a vivid manifestation of the values of "seeking truth, pursuing excellence", promoting the social influence and reputation of the college, laying a solid foundation for the college vision of "to be a respected higher vocational college”, and realizing the mission of "making students the first choice of companies". The President Shi hoped that teachers and students continue to carry forward the spirit of innovation and excellency, show our spirit of solidarity, cooperation and dedication.

Representatives of athletes and referees took the oath in turn, expressing their determination that they will strictly abide by the rules and dedicate to this sports meeting with enthusiasm.

In the faculty broadcast gymnastics competition, all participating teams were performing moves and actions with full energy, and won applause and cheers from the audience. The performance brought by more than 1900 students from 8 departments of the college was novel, unique, and distinctive. The square team took formation of party emblem, national flag, "nineteen", college logo, the college acronym and flowers and other shapes, symbolizing our young students "bear the CPC and the nation in mind", expressing our joy on the opening of 19^th CPC National Congress and our aspirations in following the CPC and drawing the blueprint without forgetting our mission in mind, and showing our spirit and vitality at the same time.
