Good News! Teachers of the School of Art Win Gold Medal in Liuzhou Bauhinia Cultural and Creative Works Competition
From News Center (Reported and Photos by Long Yibiao and Yong Jia from School of Art) On May 15, 2020, a cultural and creative work titled Bauhinia in Those Years jointly created by four teachers (Long Yibiao, Tan Jiangning, Yong Jia and Chen Meichen) from the School of Art of Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (LVTC), stood out from numerous participating works and was awarded the gold medal for cultural and creative works in the business suit category of the Liuzhou Bauhinia Cultural and Creative Works Competition themed Bauhinia City – Beautiful Liuzhou, which was sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee and the Liuzhou Culture, Radio & Television Bereau, Liuzhou Tourism Bureau and hosted by the Liuzhou Museum.
It is reported that 179 works (sets) including 846 items from all over the country were received in the competition. After preliminary evaluation, online voting and final evaluation, 39 works (sets) were finally selected as winners. Among them, 10 works (sets) were awarded in the business suit category and 29 works (sets) were awarded in the art and life category.
In recent years, Liuzhou has been making efforts to create a city-card of Bauhinia City guided by the theme of Bauhinia City – Beautiful Liuzhou. A national competition on Liuzhou bauhinia is held in an effort to better promote the development and design of cultural and creative works on bauhinia both with transmissibility as well as artistry. These award-winning works show a high artistic level and value in creative design, craft production, artistic aesthetics and other aspects, and have great potential for marketization, providing strong creativity and extensibility for the future development of bauhinia cultural and creative industry in Liuzhou.
