From News Center (Reported by Shi Yudan from Publicity Department of the Party Committee, Photos by Zhu Jingmin from Publicity Department of the Party Committee) If the advertising slogan “There is nothing unsolvable by a bowl of River Snails Rice Noodle, if not, two bowls!” interprets the freedom, humor and fearless of people in Liuzhou, the “Liuzhou School of River Snails Rice Noodle” (LSRSRN) established in the morning of May 28, 2020 at Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (hereinafter referred to as LVTC) expresses more of the responsibility, expectation and love borne for the service of Liuzhou economy of the people in LVTC .

At 8 a.m. that day, the opening ceremony of Liuzhou School of River Snails Rice Noodle was held in front of Jingze Building in Zone D of Shewan Campus of LVTC. Liang Xuhui, deputy secretary of municipal Party Committee of Communist Party of China, Tang Zuobin, secretary of district Party Committee of Yufeng District, Liuzhou, Liu Bochen, director of Liuzhou Business Bureau, Peng Jijun, administrative deputy head of Yufeng District, Liuzhou, Ni Yaoyang, president of Liuzhou Association of River Snails Rice Noodle, Yao Hanlin, chairman of Guangxi Luobawang Food Co., Ltd., Liu Qingshi, chairman of Guangxi Luozhuangyuan Food Technology Co., Ltd., Luo Anfeng, chairman of Guangxi Hugui Food Group Co., Ltd., Wei Yangnian, general manager of Guangxi Zhongliu Food Technology Co., Ltd., Liu Zilin, secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, Gan Jinming, president of LVTC, personnel from more than ten news media, Liuzhou Association of River Snails Rice Noodle and enterprise representatives, and representatives of teachers and students from relevant administrative departments and schools of LVTC attended the ceremony, which was presided over by vice president Qu Fan.

Liu Zilin introduced the achievements obtained by LVTC in education reform in recent years in his speech, and interpreted that LVTC always take integration of school and enterprise, serving the local economy and Liuzhou industry as our goal of running the college. As an Internet popular food in recent years, Liuzhou river snails rice noodle shows huge market development space. However, to become bigger and stronger, we still need to improve supporting services and strengthen disadvantage services in technology, talents, education and training, etc. The establishment of LSRSRN has received the huge support and response of municipal Party committee, municipal government and other relevant units and departments.

LSRSRN is the first domestic Liuzhou School of River Snails Rice Noodle, and the first industrial school established by LVTC. LVTC will focus on eight specialty directions and fields of river snails rice noodle industry to provide strong support for the development and expansion of the industry: 1) to build a high-level specialty group; 2) to jointly develop curriculum standards and training materials; 3) to jointly build a professional team of teachers; 4) to jointly carry out order classes and modern apprenticeship training; 5) to jointly build a technology R&D application center and practical training base; 6) to jointly build big data technology service center of river snails rice noodle; 7) to jointly build innovation and entrepreneurship education practice base; and 8) to undertake cultural construction of river snails rice noodle.

Liang Xuhui firstly expressed his warm congratulations on the establishment of LSRSRN in his speech. The river snails rice noodle industry in Liuzhou is a characteristic exemplary industry developed with the industrial thought of Liuzhou City. It sets standard first, and then develops processing industry followed by popularization through e-commerce, and finally strengthens raw material processing industry with Liuzhou genes and features. With the implementation of Liuzhou municipal Party Committee and municipal government’s goal of “double 10 billion” (the output value of bagged river snails rice noodle exceeds 10 billion yuan, and the output value of subsidiary industries such as raw materials exceeds 10 billion yuan) and “six ones” project, the river snails rice noodle industry has released a huge market development space, “small rice noodles successfully created a road of large economic industry with local characteristic”.

Liang Xuhui spoke highly of LVTC’s contribution to serving Liuzhou economy in recent years. He believed that School of River Snails Rice Noodle, based on local industry, will promote the development of the college. This is also a good measure for the promotion of the city as well as the integration of industry and education. He hoped that LSRSRN would build as soon as possible an incubation park for innovation and entrepreneurship of Liuzhou river snails rice noodle industry, an information bank for human resources, an object bank for leading talents, a project library for cooperation with enterprises, a reserve library for latest theories, a service library for guidance of skills and a practice library for transformation of achievements on the basis of local industry.

Later, Gan Jinming signed the agreement with Ni Yaoyang, Yao Hanlin and Peng Jijun respectively. Liang Xuhui, Liu Bochen, Liu Zilin and Gan Jinming jointly inaugurated the Liuzhou School of River Snails Rice Noodle.

The establishment of Liuzhou School of River Snails Rice Noodle is for the purpose of creating training base for integration of industry and education of river snails rice noodle, creating a professional group with distinctive competitiveness to connect with Liuzhou river snails rice noodle industrial chain, and cultivating high-quality and innovative application talents with the combination of river snails rice noodle industry technology and skill. This is an important measure for the college to adhere to Liuzhou industrial chain, actively respond to country’s requirements for industrial poverty alleviation and serve the “double billion” industrial strategy of Liuzhou. RMB10 million yuan is invested in the project for the cultivation of 500 students of each grade.

After the ceremony, the participants visited the training base of the School of Environmental and Food Engineering on Shewan Campus, School of Automotive Engineering on Guantang Campus, School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and School of Finance and Logistics Management.
