(GAC Group) - On July 22, 2020, at the opening ceremony of held in LVTC, the unveiling of the red flannel covered on the plaque of “School of Intelligent Manufacturing Industry” symbolized its formal foundation. School of Intelligent Manufacturing Industry is a follow-up to School of Luosifen Industry in LVTC.

Liu Zilin, Secretary of Party Committee of LVTC, expressed his gratitude to GAC Group for its great attention and support in his speech School of Intelligent Manufacturing Industry is our first industry-based school under the Plan for the Construction of High-quality Higher Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics. As an important platform and channel for sustaining college-enterprise cooperation, SIMI is expected to offer us a precious opportunity to grow by leaps and bounds, accelerating the development of EMI (Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence).

Wang Xu, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee and Chairman of Labor Union of GAC Group, mentioned in his speech that the foundation of SIMI that integrates the advantageous resources of LVTC and GAC Group is instrumental in turning Liuzhou into a pilot city featuring industry-education integration, and serves as a favorable platform which is in a position to deepen industry-education integration and render Liuzhou to meet the mid-to-high standard of manufacturing. Above all, SIMI plays a significant role in the development of higher vocational education and intelligent manufacturing in the city of Liuzhou.

Wen Jian, Deputy Director of Liuzhou Education Bureau, mentioned in his speech that Liuzhou is at the forefront in regard to the implementation of the strategy of the national education reform and development. He hopes LVTC and GAC Group will make concerted effort to improve and expand cooperation, making it riddled with more value, enrichment, achievements and effectiveness. With instructive and viable experience, LVTC and GAC Group are expected to contribute their share to the development of vocational education and intelligent manufacturing industry in Liuzhou.

On the basis of the development strategy of intelligent manufacturing industry, we will develop Liuzhou into a pilot city featuring industry-education integration, with the guidance of intelligent manufacturing technology, striving for the innovative brand of “Advanced Manufacturing” of Guangxi. SIMI integrating elite education, technology application R&D, innovative incubation, standard development and social service, is expected to reinforce industry-education integration and enhance the talent-education interconnection with the industry, innovation and training. Moreover, we will foster the ranks of “double-position” teachers and the talents with the pragmatic prowess of innovation, entrepreneurship and versatility, and build an engineering center and training base for research, application and promotion of new intelligent manufacturing technology. With all these endeavor, the rapid, innovative and scientific development of Liuzhou intelligent manufacturing industry is destined to lay a solid foundation for the establishment of powerful multi-trillion-industry city.

As a national model of higher vocational college and a school under the Plan for the Construction of High-quality Higher Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics, LVTC always maintains a close connection with local industry, providing proactive service to boost local economy considerably. On the list of top 30 national automobile enterprises and top 500 national manufacturing enterprises, GAC Group is committed to shoulder its responsibility for advancing manufacturing progress and development by a large margin. In the near future, SIMI will set a high premium on several fields regarding to intelligent manufacturing: building the personnel cultivation base, operation and maintenance center, empowerment center and center for innovation and entrepreneurship; and SIMI will develop international cooperation to jointly set up an education group of intelligent manufacturing.
