On the afternoon of December 31, 2020, Building Dreams with Workmanship - LVTC Quality Development Award Ceremony 2020 was held in the Grand Theater of Liuzhou Cultural and Art Center. All staff and student representatives attended it.

The ceremony started with a show “2021 Happy Flight” performed by students from the School of Trade and Tourism Management. A launching ceremony of the cultural logo “Workmanship LVTC” was held first. Liu Zilin, Secretary of the CPC LVTC Committee, unveiled the logo “Workmanship LVTC”. “Workmanship LVTC” represents a cultural connotation of “Promoting Craftsmanship to Foster Craftsmen”. This logo is designed by Hu Qingyuan (Professor of Tsinghua University) and Fu Shaowei (Calligrapher). Liu Zilin said that culture was most essential to LVTC, and education was a culture in nature and inheritance of culture and knowledge; LVTC naturally absorbed the gene of industrial culture which incorporated the spirit of continuous struggle and innovation, and it delivered inexhaustible power for LVTC development; “Workmanship LVTC” cultural brand project had been rated as “One School, One Brand” of campus culture of national vocational colleges, and it highlighted LVTC's profound workmanship culture inheritance foundation and distinctive workmanship culture education characteristics.

Then, Liu Zilin (Secretary of the CPC LVTC Committee), Gan Jinming (President), Yang Xu (Deputy Secretary of the CPC LVTC Committee, Wang Wei (Vice President), Qu Fan (Vice President) and Ju Hongxia (Vice President), Li Shanwen (Secretary of Disciplinary Inspection Committee), Wei Lin (Vice President) and Ran Fusong (Chief Accountant) presented awards to the representatives who won the 2020 Quality Development Award. The establishment of 2020 Quality Development Award is our important measure to promote the strategy of strengthening LVTC development by quality. In addition, it aims to accelerate the Construction of High-quality Higher Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics, guide all departments and staff to participate in LVTC development and stimulate their initiative and enthusiasm, in order to create more and new momentous achievements, and improve LVTC’s overall competitiveness and social recognition. After stringent appraisal, 51 projects won the awards, in which 11 projects including “Promote Vocational Education to Help Poverty Alleviation and Achieve the First Centenary Goal of Building A Moderately Prosperous Society in All Respects” won the Workmanship Service Award, 8 projects including the Project Approved to Build the “Plan for the Construction of High-quality Higher Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics” Specialty Cluster - Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Management Specialty Cluster won the First Prize of Workmanship Contribution, 9 projects including the Project Approved to Build the “Plan for the Construction of High-quality Higher Vocational Schools and Specialties with Chinese Characteristics” Specialty Cluster in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region - “Applied Technology of Construction Machinery” Specialty Cluster won the Second Prize of Workmanship Contribution, 23 projects including the Project of Innovation Action Plan Approved by Ministry of Education in 2019 - Smart Manufacturing Collaborative Innovation Center won the Third Prize of Workmanship Contribution.

The School of Arts and the College Students Art Troupes performed wonderful programs such as dance, song and solo. At the end of the ceremony, the school leaders stepped on the stage and sang “We Are All Dream Chasers” with all teachers and students. The ceremony was climaxed by passionate dance, positive melody and gorgeous stage lighting.

Guided by the Quality Development Award, this ceremony showed the teachers and students a “Workmanship LVTC” cultural programme, with an aim to encourage teachers and students to actively participate in the school development, stay true to their original aspiration and founding mission, be brave in innovating and creating, excelling in competition and keen on working and dedicating, so as to achieve higher-quality development in major special fields, e.g. “construction of high-quality higher vocational school and specialties with Chinese characteristics”, quality improvement and undergraduate education in higher vocational colleges.
