LVTC Having a Video Conference with Sri Lanka’s NAITA
From News Center (Reported by Zhang Jinyezi from International Exchange Department of LVTC, Photos by Luo Shihua from of Publicity Department of the Party Committee of LVTC)Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (LVTC) and Sri Lanka’s National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA) had a video conference on cooperation at 1:30 p.m. on January 26, 2021 in order to help LVTC’s vocational education go global and to continuously expand cooperation channels. Mahinda S. Rupasinghe, vice president of NAITA, G.H. Nilantha de Silva, director of NAITA, Liu Min, deputy director of Liuzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, Gan Jinming, principal of LVTC, Ju Hongxia, vice principal of LVTC, Wei Linhua, director of International Exchange Office, and relevant staff attended the conference. The conference was presided over by Wei Linhua.
Liu Min gave his welcoming speech at first. He said, “The friendship between China and Sri Lanka has been maintained for many years. I hope we can reach consensus on cooperation through communication, in order to facilitate cooperation projects and achieve positive results.” In addition, he introduced industry background and the condition of its vocational education in Liuzhou.
Gan Jinming introduced LVTC’s basic condition, including the school size, talent cultivation, college-enterprise cooperation and international cooperation. He said, “I hope we can cooperate in industry, tourism, information and other specific fields, conduct occupational skill appraisal and competition to jointly nurture skilled talents.”
Nilantha briefed NAITA’s basic conditions and development plan. She presented that she hoped NAITA would frequently cooperate with local foreign-invested companies to train talents and establish advanced training bases of industry, vehicles and robots.
The two parties reached a consensus on cooperation and conducted an in-depth discussion about the contents of the cooperation that the two parties both are interested in. This conference was a great start to our exchange and cooperation with NAITA. LVTC and NAITA have enhanced mutual trust and known each other better, which paves a foundation for further exchanges and cooperation.
