From News Center (Text & photo by Liao Meinuan, School of Arts) In order to further dig national cultural elements and do a better good job in national cultural inheritance and innovation, from June 23 to 24, 2021, LVTC went to Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County and Rongshui Miao Autonomous County to establish Sanjiang Base and Rongshui Base of Ethnic Cultural Inheritance Research and Innovation Center.

Sanjiang Base has two branches, respectively at Qinghua Embroidery Workshop in the town of Sanjiang County (Qinghua Embroidery Culture Inheritance Co., Ltd., Sanjiang County) and Yazhai Village, Dudong Town. On the morning of June 24, the inauguration ceremony of Yazhai Branch of Sanjiang Base was held at the Party and Masses Service Center of Yazhai Village, Dudong Town. Yang Xu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, attended the event and inaugurated the base. On the inauguration ceremony of Qinghua Embroidery Workshop Branch, Lu Jin, Deputy Dean of School of Arts of LVTC, attended and inaugurated the base.

Rongshui Base will have 2-3 branches as planned. On June 23, Lu Jin led his delegation to Rongshui Miao Brocade Cultural Center (Life Aesthetics Hall for Dyeing, Weaving & Embroidery, Caiyun Miao Art Trading Co., Ltd.) located in the Small Town of Miao People, Rongshui County to hold the inauguration ceremony of the base. The inauguration of the other branches will be completed subsequently.

After the Sanjiang Base and Rongshui Base of National Cultural Inheritance, Research and Innovation Center were established, LVTC will unite the intangible cultural heritage inheritors in Sanjiang and Rongshui to hold regular seminars, training and exchanges, further carry out school-enterprise cooperation by means of students’ field research, sending teachers into villages and so on, and gather social forces to do a good job of national cultural inheritance jointly. We will bring national culture into people's daily life, pass on national manual skills from generation to generation, constantly enhance national charm and enhance national confidence.

On June 24, after the end of the inauguration ceremony of Yazhai Branch, the School of Arts of LVTC organized a national craft (tie-dye) training and experience activity for the villagers. Li Gang, a backbone garment teacher of the School of Art (a member of Ma Jian Batik and Tie-Dye Inheritance and Innovation Studio) provided the training and guided the experience activity. More than 20 villagers participated in the training and experience.
