Yang Xu, Deputy Secretary in Charge of Personnel of LVTC, Qiu Fuming, Director of Party School Office, and Wei Linhua, Director of the Office of International Exchange, attended the farewell party on behalf of LVTC.
In order to support the global service upgrading of Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., LVTC has reached an agreement with Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and Panyapiwat Institute of Management at the end of 2021 to build the "Thailand Branch of Liugong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center" and "Liugong-LVTC International Craftsman College" in Thailand, which will start operation in June 2022 and students of the order class will start to have their courses at the same time. According to the agreement, LCTV and Liugong need to organize a trainer team, which should complete the teacher training certification of Panyapiwat Institute of Management in March. In order to ensure the quality of the training, LVTC selected two associate professors Chen Lichuang and Luo Hongbo from the School of Automotive Engineering and the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering considering political literacy, professional theoretical knowledge, practical teaching ability, English teaching level, and other aspects, to form a training team with the skill masters from Liugong to be responsible for the teacher training of Panyapiwat Institute of Management in Thailand. After strict examination and approval by multiple departments of LVTC, Liuzhou, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the two teachers have gone through the formalities of going abroad, and will leave for Thailand on March 3.
In recent years, under the background of the severe decline of the global economy due to the COVID-19 epidemic, Liugong has always insisted on continuing the global business in order to seize the international market and improve the service level, thus reaching more new highs in international marketing. In 2021, Liugong achieved a 70% increase in overseas marketing, a 65% increase in revenue, and total overseas revenue of more than RMB 5.5 billion. The construction of the "Thailand Branch of Liugong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center" and "Liugong-LVTC International Craftsman College" is not only a major measure for Liugong to comprehensively improve its global service capacity but also an important exploration of LVTC's support for Liugong's "going global" during the 14th Five Year Plan period. It will provide an important practical case for Liuzhou to build a pilot city of the integration of production and education, which is of pioneering significance.
At present, Thailand has canceled the quarantine policy, opened its door and chose to coexist with the COVID-19 virus, with more than 10,000 new cases every day. Against this background, LVTC has withstood the great pressure brought by the epidemic prevention and control, made a thorough deployment, and worked closely with Liugong to formulate the epidemic prevention and control plan for the journey of the two teachers. During their stay in Thailand, the training site will be disinfected every day, the trainers and trainees will be monitored for body temperature every day, and the nucleic acid test of all staff once a week will be arranged to ensure that the risk of epidemic prevention and control is minimized and assist them to successfully complete the training task.
This time, their training in Thailand has also received strong support from Liuzhou Municipal Education Bureau, Liuzhou Foreign Affairs Office, Liuzhou Municipal People's Government, and the Foreign Affairs Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. In order to support the development of leading enterprises in Liuzhou, all departments actively support and efficiently complete the examination and approval of their going abroad, which demonstrates the responsibility and determination of the government to support and serve the development of enterprises.
At the farewell party, Yang Xu emphasized the importance of the overseas mission to the two teachers, instructed them to pay attention to their health and life safety, and thanked them for their support for the international cooperation of running the school of LVTC. Wei Linhua put forward discipline requirements and etiquette training for the two teachers from the perspective of foreign affairs. After the meeting, Yang Xu distributed protective clothing, goggles, medical masks and other protective equipment to the two teachers on behalf of LVTC. The two teachers thanked LVTC for its concern and said they would complete their work and return home safely.
During the epidemic period, the two teachers overcame personal difficulties, obtained the support of their relatives and went to Thailand, where the epidemic is still serious, to carry out work, which not only reflects their profound understanding of university-enterprise cooperation as vocational educators but also demonstrates the spirit of CPC members to shoulder the burden bravely. It is hoped that the two teachers will enjoy good health succeed in their work in Thailand.
