Good News: LVTC has Become a Vice President Member of Guangxi Supply Chain Vocational Education Group

News from News Center (Text and Photograph by Mo Hongren, School of Finance and Logistics Management) ◄ On June 15th, a conference was held at Guigang Conference Center in Guangxi Province to announce the founding of Guangxi Supply Chain Vocational Education Group (“the Group” hereinafter). Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (LVTC) wasinvited to the meeting as a Vice President Member of the Group. Vice President Qu Fan, Zhang Bin, the Deputy Director of the College-Enterprise Cooperation Department, Feng Xueping, the Dean of the School of Finance and Logistics Management, and lecturer Mo Hongren of Logistics Managementattended the meeting on behalf of LVTC, and exchanged ideas with experts and representatives of other colleges and universities, vocational schools, industry associations, research institutions and enterprises in the region.

The conference consisted of two sessions, namely the preparatory session and the founding session. At the preparatory session, Feng Xueping, together with other representatives, listened to the report on the preparatory work of the Group, reviewed the Charter of Guangxi Supply Chain Vocational Education Group, The Three-Year Plan for 2022-2024 of Guangxi Supply Chain Vocational Education Group, as well as the agenda of the founding session, among other documents and files. In the founding session, our representatives listened to the speeches of Zhou Chunyong, Deputy Mayor of Guigang City, Ou Jun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union of Guangxi Modern Logistics Group, and Li Weiguo, Deputy GM of Guangxi Modern Logistics Group and Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Logistics, and participated in the Group’s unveiling ceremony. Qu Fan received the plaque ofVice President Membership.

 Guangxi Supply Chain Vocational Education Group intends to focus on developing the supply chain in Guangxi, join hands with leading schools and enterprises in the industry to create a grand flagship that integrates production and education, guide the healthy development of logistics education and training, promote resourcesharing and complementary advantages of "government, enterprises, industries and colleges" in the region concerning supply chain, and accelerate common development, mutual benefit and win-win. Vice President Membership in the Group means we will have a more important position in regional supply chain education and greater influence in the industry. It will also bring us more social resources, and require us to promote education-industry integration and cooperation with enterprises in the supply chain industry, and play a leading role in supply chain talent training, teaching and learning researches in vocational education, and offering social services.
