Good News: LVTC's Students Made Another Success in the Guangxi Provincial Qualification Trials of the National College Student Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Simulation Contest

The Guangxi Provincial Qualification Trials of the “9th Learning Entrepreneurship Cup” National College Student Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Simulation Contest was online held in Hezhou University on June 19, 2022. LVTC’s 6 teams under the guidance of the School of General Education and Entrepreneurship Teaching Team competed in main contest and special contest separately, and received 4 Special Prizes, 1 First Prize and 1 Second Prize.
This Contest, which was co-chaired by Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, National Demonstration Center for Experimental Education Economy and Management Professional Experts Team, organized by Hezhou University, and co-organized by New Business Experimental Teaching Professional Committee of Guangxi Higher Education Association, was attended by 239 teams from the universities and colleges in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The Special Contest progressed with use of the "Marketing Tips" software as an official contest platform. It aimed at enabling students to obtain experience in running an entrepreneurial company in a simulated way. The virtual company which operates for 4 quarters has to complete the financial budget, financing, investment decision, statement analysis, manufacturing, marketing, etc. per quarter. The subsequent decisions on every work after discussion will be entered into the system. Students were challenged by various marketing problems commonly seen in entrepreneurial enterprises. To cope with the quickly changing market situation, students had to identify the business opportunity, make analysis and decision, followed by execution to run the enterprise in a profitable and sustainable manner. This Contest aimed to make test on students’ marketing knowledge, followed by rating based on each company’s comprehensive business performance. The LVTC’s students was carefully prepared for this Contest, and took on the challenge calmly during the contest. The Dream Flying Team No.1 led by Han Mengrui (School of Finance and Logistics Management) and Liang Dehai (School of Trade and Tourism Management) was awarded the Special Prize on Higher Vocational Division by ranking 1st in the competition group; the Dream Flying Team No.3 led by Lai Zixi and Liao Jianxin (School of Electronic Engineering) was awarded the First Prize on Higher Vocational Division; the Dream Flying Team No. 3 led by Yang Yihua (School of Arts) and Li Xueni (School of Finance and Logistics Management) was awarded the Second Prize.
The Main Contest consisted of entrepreneurship comprehensive simulation and entrepreneurship business plan, to be separately scored. The relevant teams had online submitted the business plans via website, which were scored by experts in terms of innovation, business value, team performance, etc. For competition in the entrepreneurship comprehensive simulation, the “Star of Entrepreneurship” software was used as a competition platform, which could facilitate simulation of the enterprise's team duty division, strategic planning, market research, production plan, R&D input, sales management, market exploration, statement analysis as well as business operation over 4 quarters. The LVTC’s students was carefully prepared for this Contest, and took on the challenge calmly during the contest. The Dream Flying Team No.2 led by Lu Jinghua (School of Environmental and Food Engineering) and Luo Yushen (School of Trade and Tourism Management) ranked 1st in total score; the Dream Flying Team No.1 led by Huang Yuhe (School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering) and Zhang Jinsheng (School of Automotive Engineering) ranked 2nd in total score; the Dream Flying Team No.3 led by Tan Jinling (School of Environmental and Food Engineering), Tan Licheng (School of Automotive Engineering) and Wang Ziqi (School of Trade and Tourism Management) ranked 3rd in total score, which made a clean sweep of 3 Special Prizes on Higher Vocational Division.
The excellent performance was made by virtue of hard work from students and instructors, demonstrating LVTC’s superior performance in innovative and entrepreneurial teaching reform and “Innovative and entrepreneurial” education.
