Another Country: Contract of LiuGong-LVTC International Craftsman College of Indonesia was Officially Signed

It is the first China-ASEAN Higher Vocational Colleges Special Cooperation Project after the Ministry of Education and Guangxi signed a strategic cooperation agreement to jointly promote the high-quality development of education in Guangxi.

With the support of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), the Embassy of Indonesia in China and the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (hereinafter referred to as "LVTC") and Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "LiuGong"), established relationship with Polytechnic Negeri Jakarta in Indonesia, in order to support LiuGong to expand its business in Indonesia and provide LiuGong with training for Indonesian localized talents. After several meetings of the three parties and exchange visits between PT. LiuGong Machinery Indonesia and Polytechnic Negeri Jakarta, the cooperation intention was finally reached and the Memorandum of Understanding was officially signed on August 10, 2022.

The signing ceremony was held both online and offline. Leaders of CEAIE, the Embassy of Indonesia in China and the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, LVTC, LiuGong, PT. LiuGong Machinery Indonesia, and Polytechnic Negeri Jakarta attended the signing ceremony.

LiuGong has been deeply engaged in Indonesia for 15 years and established the Indonesian branch in 2019. Its Indonesian business has made breakthrough progress, and the sales volume in 2022 increased by 138% compared with the same period last year. The business expansion puts forward higher requirements for after-sales service. According to the dealer, in the past two years, the Indonesian branch has had a talent shortage of nearly 300 people. It is urgent to cultivate a group of localized technical talents who are familiar with LiuGong's machinery, technology and service standards. According to this tripartite cooperation agreement, PT. LiuGong Machinery Indonesia will be responsible for providing students with internships and employment posts and investing professional teaching equipment. Polytechnic Negeri Jakarta is responsible for providing a venue of 1,000 square meters, basic teaching facilities and equipment and excellent faculty. LVTC is responsible for exporting curriculum, as well as cooperating with LiuGong to carry out teacher and student training certification, and jointly build "LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Indonesia sub-center" and "LiuGong-LVTC International Craftsman College of Indonesia". The construction of the sub-center and the International Craftsman College will start after the signing of the agreement, and the training of Indonesian teachers and the recruitment of the first cohort of Indonesian students in LiuGong-tailored classes will be completed in the autumn of 2022.

At the same time, by resource sharing and complementary advantages, the three parties will benchmark the construction standards of China's Luban Workshop, and carry out cooperation with the aim of building an Indonesian first-class construction machinery training center and applying for China's Luban Workshop project on the basis of the center, so as to jointly solve the technical talents shortage in Indonesia's construction machinery and promote the development of LiuGong and other Chinese construction machinery enterprises in Indonesia.

It is learned that the start of the project of LVTC and LiuGong in Indonesia is the first China-ASEAN Higher Vocational Colleges Special Cooperation Project signed by Guangxi higher vocational colleges in response to Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng's proposal that Guangxi should focus on building itself into a vocational education cooperation exemplary zone for ASEAN after the Ministry of Education and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region signed a strategic cooperation agreement on jointly boosting high-quality development of education on July 11. After the Saudi Arabia Catani College, especially after "LiuGong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Thailand Sub-center" and "LiuGong-LVTC International Craftsman College of Thailand", LVTC and LiuGong has once again worked together to carry out overseas education. The Indonesian project is not only a replication of the cooperation mode between the two sides in Thailand, but also an upgrading of the cooperation mode of building a first-class training center with high standards. In the future, LVTC and LiuGong will continue to replicate the project to other core markets in the world such as Russia and Africa based on their previous cooperation experience, and build a global talent training network covering the whole world with LVTC's headquarter as the core, so as to form a global training application paradigm with a set of standards, resources and various modes, and provide "LiuGong-LVTC answers" for China's vocational colleges to go global with the manufacturing enterprises of the national heavy industry.
