Good News! LVTC was included in the first batch of Pilot Units for Cooperative Construction of Industry-Education Integration Majors by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology

After independent application and expert evaluation, LVTC stood out from nearly 700 colleges and universities with more than 1,000 majors after two rounds of evaluation and selection, and was successfully included in the first batch of Pilot Units for Cooperative Construction of Industry-Education Integration Majors by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. New Energy Vehicle Technology of the School of Automotive Engineering was identified as the pilot major.

At the beginning of 2022, in order to further promote the organic connection of the education chain, talent chain, industrial chain and innovation chain in the field of industry and informatization, and closely follow the trend of industrial upgrading and technological transformation, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, for the first time, selected and cultivated a number of universities and colleges to play the leading role in the construction of Industry-Education Integration Majors, and carried out cooperative construction of major groups related to key industrial and informatization fields such as new-generation information technology, intelligent manufacturing, new energy vehicles and digital transformation.

New Energy Vehicle Technology is included in the major cluster of the “Guangxi Top-Notch Vocational Institutions and Programs Plan” and is one of the key majors of the "14th Five-Year Plan" of LVTC. In recent years, based on its geographical advantages, the major has continuously optimized the talent training path, thoroughly explored the "four double and five integration" education mode, and jointly built "School of Intelligent Connected Automobile Industry" with local industry leading enterprises, to build a high-level training base and promote the new development of industry-education integration. At the same time, the major has achieved a series of fruitful results based on the construction of the "Double High-levels Plan" of the school. It has won 2 national honors, 5 provincial and ministerial honors and 8 municipal and departmental honors. More than 20 patents were obtained by school-enterprise cooperation. The construction of the major has been integrated into the construction of Guangxi (Liuzhou) National IoV Pilot Zone of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which makes the LVTC the only university in Guangxi to be integrated into the construction of the National IoV Pilot Zone.

The approval of LVTC being included in the first batch of Pilot Majors of Cooperative Construction of Industry-Education Integration Majors of the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology fully affirms LVTC's endeavor in industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. In the next step, on the basis of the preliminary work and according to the requirements of the pilot work, LVTC will take this opportunity to offer further support, actively promote the in-depth integrative development of major and industries, continuously optimize the connotation of major construction, gather characteristics, and create a high-level industry-education integration major.
