Good News! LVTC was awarded the "Outstanding Unit in Recruitment of Guangxi Universities in 2022"

From News Center (Text/Photo by, Qin Xiaochen, Admissions and Employment Office) On October 9, 2022, Enrollment and Examination Committee Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region issued the Notice of Enrollment and Examination Committee Office of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Praising Outstanding Units and Individuals in Recruitment of Guangxi Universities in 2022 (GZKWB [2022] No. 68). Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (LVTC) won the honorary title of "Outstanding Unit in Recruitment of Guangxi Universities in 2022", and Luo Qiang from the Admissions and Employment Office won the honorary title of "Outstanding Individual in Recruitment of Guangxi Universities in 2022".

The year 2022 marks the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Huai Jinpeng, Secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group and Minister of the Ministry of Education, pointed out that this year's college entrance examination was the largest organized social activity in China before the 20th CPC National Congress. Amid the severe pandemic, focusing on the overall development plan of LVTC, under the leadership of LVTC's Party and government leaders at all levels, and with the joint efforts of all faculty members, LVTC admission staff fulfilled their duties, strictly abided by the provisions of "30 Prohibitions" and "Eight Basic Requirements" for college admission, and carried forward the theme of the times with a clear stand. LVTC carried out enrollment publicity activities in all cities online or offline, which greatly improved the effectiveness of enrollment publicity. During the first year of promoting the "enrollment of reserve soldiers in targeted training program", LVTC seized the opportunity and mobilized all kinds of resources to carry out publicity, becoming the university with the highest completion rate of the admission plan among the five pilot universities. As a typical outstanding representative at the Guangxi military work conference, LVTC introduced its work experience to colleges and universities in the region. During the admission process, the admission staff fulfilled their duties, adhered to the bottom line of discipline, admitted quality students for LVTC, and completed the full-time admission of LVTC in 2022 with high quality results. In addition, LVTC submitted a number of constructive opinions and suggestions to the educational testing management department during the pilot operation of classified enrollment and the formulation of college entrance examination policies for vocational education, which were adopted and recognized by relevant management departments, contributing to the pioneering promotion of enrollment in Guangxi colleges and universities.

2022 is a very challenging year. During the enrollment publicity and admission process, even the registration of freshmen afterwards, the repeated pandemic outbreaks and unpredictable changes of the pandemic accompanied the process of enrollment and admission, which put forward more strict requirements for the high-quality promotion of all tasks. Facing such a complex pandemic situation, LVTC leaders attached great importance to the admission, went to the admission frontline many times to guide the staff to scientifically carry out their work, and provided forward-looking and comprehensive suggestions for LVTC admission work. Under the correct guidance of our leaders and the strong support of each secondary school and administrative department, LVTC's admission work adopted a set of effective measures. From October 2021 to May 2022, online and offline publicity activities were carried out simultaneously. The members of the enrollment publicity team of each secondary school were quickly mobilized to the enrollment publicity sites in different regions and universities. At the same time, online publicity was strengthened, and bottom-up enrollment publicity methods were carried out for different universities. Full-time teachers from different schools were invited to give lectures to students to enhance their interest in registering for admission. In June, after the independent enrollment of targeted major was completed, LVTC immediately sent unique gift packages of admission letters to the admitted examinees in various regions, who posted their admission letters on various online platforms. This greatly improved our enrollment publicity effect and laid a good foundation for LVTC to be chosen by the examinees of the national college entrance examination in their subsequent application. August is a key link in the college entrance examination enrollment of LVTC. In order to ensure the registration rate of freshmen, the Admissions Office cooperated with each secondary school for the registration and contact work, and confirmed the application information and registration information with the examinees many times. Students who failed to register in time due to the pandemic had been recorded, ensuring the registration rate of the freshmen. In order to fully support the admission in our district, LVTC sent Luo Qiang from the Admissions and Employment Office to Nanning to participate in the admission in the whole district. Luo Qiang was unanimously praised and affirmed by all leaders and colleagues of Guangxi Admissions and Examinations Authority.

The honorary titles of "Outstanding Unit in Recruitment of Guangxi Universities in 2022" and "Outstanding Individual in Recruitment of Guangxi Universities in 2022" fully affirm and greatly inspire LVTC's enrollment and admission in 2022. In the next stage, LVTC will earnestly summarize the shortcomings and experience of our work, formulate the enrollment plan for the next year with more efforts, and strive to take the enrollment in 2023 to a new level.
