LVTC Successfully Undertook China-ASEAN International Forum on High-quality Development of "Industrial Interconnection - Intelligent Upgrade"

From News Center (Text by Qiu Fuming, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Photo by Luo Shihua, Convergence Media Center, the Publicity Department of the CPC LVTC Committee) From November 4 to 5, 2022, China-ASEAN International Forum on High-quality Development of "Industrial Interconnection - Intelligent Upgrade" and Inaugural Meeting of International Industry-Education Alliance for China-ASEAN Intelligent Manufacturing 2022 were held in Liuzhou, Guangxi. With the theme of "Industrial Interconnection - Intelligent Upgrade", the forum was hosted by China-ASEAN Vocational Education Research Center, undertaken by Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College (LVTC) and SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., and co-organized by Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd. Experts, scholars and entrepreneurs in intelligent manufacturing from China and ASEAN exchanged advanced ideas online and offline, demonstrated the latest achievements and enhanced practical cooperation.

Lu Liuping, Deputy Mayor of Liuzhou City, attended the forum and delivered a speech. He hoped that this international intelligent manufacturing event could pool together wisdom and strength, generate new ideas with exchanges, and achieve wonderful results. He also hoped that Liuzhou could actively promote the innovative development of intelligent industry, deeply participate in international cooperation in industrial interconnection and intelligent upgrading, and make new contributions to establishing a new development pattern and promoting the development of the world economy.

Wang Yi, Executive deputy director and secretary-general of China-ASEAN Vocational Education Research Center, Xu Feiyun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., and Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, delivered speeches respectively.

At the opening ceremony, Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College (LVTC) and SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., as the president units, jointly initiated the establishment of the International Industry-Education Alliance for China-ASEAN Intelligent Manufacturing which aims to build a diversified cooperation platform with government leadership, industry guidance, enterprise participation and scientific research institutions as the main body, and form an international industry-education community with certain influence and ability to promote intelligent manufacturing development constantly.

In the future, the Alliance will integrate the advantageous resources of its members, further explore in aspects including the R&D and upgrading of intelligent manufacturing technology, improvement of quality and level of services, formulation of intelligent manufacturing technology standards and talent training specifications that meet the actual needs of ASEAN, and deepening of international capacity cooperation, so as to gather the joint force of talent training and support the high-quality development of intelligent manufacturing in China and ASEAN.

At the forum, Professor Sun Lining, academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, Yangtze River Scholar and Dean of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Soochow University, and Wang Yi, Executive deputy director and secretary-general of China-ASEAN Vocational Education Research Center, delivered keynote speeches. Liu Yusheng, application manager of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., Wang Zhenhua, president of Jiangsu Huibo Robotics Technology Co., Ltd, Cheng Gaoke, manager of Omron Industrial Automation (China) Co., Ltd., Qin Jingjun, dean of School of International Education of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, Irkham Nugroho Putro from Batam State Polytechnic, NGUYEN VAN TUU from Phu Tho Agricultural and Forestry Polytechnic, and Wei Linhua, director of the Office of International Exchange in LVTC, delivered speeches, conducted in-depth discussions and extensive exchanges on topics such as the core of "Industrial Interconnection - Intelligent Upgrade" and the cultivation of high-end technical talents for intelligent manufacturing through industry-education integration.

Experts at the forum agreed that with the development of industrial Internet, industrial enterprises will inevitably usher in a new industrial era of "intelligence, convenience and efficiency". At present, the accelerated development of global intelligent manufacturing, the accelerated integration of Information and Communication Technology and the real economy, and the accelerated promotion of industrial digital transformation have become important driving forces for innovation-driven development. The high-quality development of China-ASEAN intelligent manufacturing requires industry-education integration, international vision, collaborative innovation and joint promotion.

Relying on the long-term experience in serving Liuzhou's automobile and machinery pillar industries and the advantages of deeply developing the platform of regional industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, LVTC actively serves the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the China-ASEAN national strategy. With the focus on the strategic requirements of "strengthening Guangxi through industry to build a strong manufacturing region in western China", the development needs of "the construction of a modern manufacturing city" in Liuzhou, and the high-end industries of automobiles and construction machinery, LVTC has positioned the high-end links of intelligent manufacturing and intelligent services, carried out localized talent training for ASEAN countries, and innovatively implemented the "Going Global" vocational education accompanying plan for Liuzhou enterprises. By doing so, we achieved good social benefits, practiced the LVTC mission of building a world-class school that can lead the reform and support the development with Chinese characteristics, and highlight LVTC's responsibility so as to become an important force to support the strategic requirements of "strengthening Guangxi through industry" and the construction of "Modern Manufacturing City" in Liuzhou.

This forum has built an industrial exchange platform for joint development and collaborative innovation, gathering industrial enterprises and vocational universities, as well as the wisdom of top experts and scholars. Through sharing, discussion and exchanges, participating enterprises, experts and scholars have enhanced the exchanges and understanding between China and ASEAN in the field of intelligent manufacturing, built consensus, promoted the innovation of intelligent manufacturing technology solutions, and injected new impetus into the high-quality development of global intelligent manufacturing.
