LVTC Welcomes the First Batch of Order Class Students of LiuGong–LVTC International Craftsmen College of Thailand

In the afternoon, LVTC, Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as " LiuGong") and Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) jointly held a simple but grand welcoming ceremony for students.

At the ceremony, Wei Lin, Vice President of LVTC, Dr. Paritud Bhandhubanyong, Consultant, Office of President and Sustainability Management of PIM, and Li Youfang, Service Manager of Overseas Business Center of LiuGong extended a warm welcome to the seven students coming from afar and had high hopes for them. Later, the students received uniforms of School of Automotive Engineering presented by LVTC and iconic clothing from LiuGong. As students representatives, Akkayanon Patsakorn and Sealao Winai delivered speeches in Chinese, English, and Thai. They thanked LVTC and LiuGong for giving them the opportunity to study and live in Liuzhou, and said that they would make full use of this opportunity to study Chinese and professional knowledge hard and build a bridge of friendship between China and Thailand.

It is reported that the first batch of LiuGong–LVTC International Craftsmen College of Thailand order class enrolled 16 students. It adopts the modern apprenticeship training mode of Chinese + construction machinery. During students' stay in Thailand, LVTC will provide online Chinese training. Teachers from PIM are responsible for teaching after passing the training certification of LiuGong and LVTC. In order to cultivate outstanding skilled and technical talents, LVTC and LiuGong have carefully designed a training program. The teaching team is composed of LVTC's teachers of Construction Machinery major, teachers of Chinese as a foreign language, and skill masters from LiuGong During the four-month on-campus study period, Chinese as a Foreign Language Teaching will be carried out in coordination with the teaching of specialized courses, striving to achieve students' breakthroughs in both Chinese and professional skills. After the training, students will go to the headquarters of LiuGong for a 2-month internship. After passing the examination, they will be accepted by Thailand Branch of LiuGong for employment.

It is reported that the Thailand Branch of LiuGong started preparations in 2021 and was officially established in 2022. In order to realize the goal that vocational education can continue to provide talent supply and lifelong training support for the overseas development of Chinese enterprises, in December 2021, LVTC, LiuGong and PIM signed a contract to launch the construction of International Craftsmen College. The three parties attach great importance to this cooperation. The Chairman of CP all Group, a world-famous retailer, to which PIM is affiliated, has met with the cooperation representatives of LVTC and LiuGong many times, and personally met the students from Thailand to China this time, providing support for the three parties' international industry-education cooperation. In March 2022, LVTC and LiuGong overcame the impact of the epidemic and set up a team to complete the training and certification of six teachers of PIM in Thailand. LiuGong has invested in the training center and completed its construction. LVTC has completed the sharing of 9 standards, 5 English textbooks, and 5 Thai textbooks. Due to the outstanding achievements in the construction of the Program, LVTC was selected into the national "China-ASEAN Characteristic Cooperation Programs for Higher Vocational Colleges" in 2022. At the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week in August 2022, LVTC was entrusted with serving as the Thailand-Vietnam Country Working Group of the "China-ASEAN TVET Consortium" personally awarded by Huai Jinpeng, Minister of the Ministry of Education.
