President Liu Limin of CEAIE Visits LVTC for Investigation and Guidance

From News Center (Text by Zhang Jinyezi, Office of International Exchange; Photo by Chen Chen, Publicity Department of the CPC LVTC Committee)  On June 25, 2023, Liu Limin, President of China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and former Vice Minister of Education of People's Republic of China, led a delegation with He Pei, Director of the Vocational Education and Training Department of the association, and Liu Xiaomeng, Deputy Director of the Office of the Department, to visit LVTC for investigation and guidance. Wang Wei, Second-level Inspector and Director of College Student Affairs Office of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Li Chunpeng, Director of Vocational Education Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Education, Wen Jian, Deputy Director of Liuzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, Liu Zilin, Secretary of LVTC Party Committee, and Wei Lin, Vice President of LVTC accompanied the investigation and attended the symposium.

Liu Limin fully affirmed LVTC's achievements in international exchange, industry-education integration and serving enterprises to "go global". He believed that the ways of vocational education "going global" nationwide are different. It is time to summarize and sort out effective paths and methods. LVTC has well combined the construction of standard and textbook with enterprises in the process of school-enterprise cooperation for international school running. It has explored a good model of school-enterprise cooperation in overseas education, that is, first train teachers from overseas colleges, then train local students by trained teachers, and finally bring outstanding students to China to further strengthen training. It is suggested that the model should be further summarized and improved, and then promoted nationwide.

At the symposium, Liu Zilin welcomed Liu Limin and his delegation on behalf of LVTC, and expressed heartfelt thanks to China Education Association for International Exchange for its continuous care and support. Wei Lin introduced the ideas and practices of LVTC's International Exchanges and Cooperation in detail. He highlighted LVTC's international school-running achievements in accompanying local enterprises to "go global", developing education and training  simultaneously, and supporting the global development of enterprises.

Accompanied by Liu Zilin and Wei Lin, the delegation visited LVTC's School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Automotive Engineering Training Base, and School of Liuzhou Luosifen Industry. They conducted in-depth research on LVTC's school-enterprise cooperation and international cooperation and exchanges in industry-education integration.

On June 26, Liu Limin and his delegation continued to investigate the cooperative enterprises of LVTC, namely Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd., to further understand their ideas on industry-education integration in running schools.

It is understood that China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) is a national non-profit organization for educational cooperation and exchanges with foreign countries in China, as well as an important platform for China to promote the opening up of education. The Secretariat of the Association is a permanent office directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It has established long-term stable exchanges and cooperation with more than 170 authoritative educational organizations and groups in more than 50 countries and regions.

The investigation by the president of the Association and the leaders of relevant departments to LVTC is a full affirmation of the achievements made by our college in international education. LVTC will continue to strengthen its ties with CEAIE, adhere to the characteristics of international cooperation in running schools based on teaching accompanying industry output and industry-education cooperation under the guidance of the CEAIE, and provide popularizable and referenceable LVTC schemes for the internationalization of vocational education.
