Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, Leads a Delegation to Visit PIM

From News Center (Text/Photo by Wang Xinzhi, Office of International Exchange) In order to further promote cooperation with LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. and Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) and support Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. to build its Thailand Branch into a core business carrier in the Asia-Pacific region, Liu Zilin, Secretary of the Party Committee of LVTC, led a delegation to visit Pattaya Campus and Bangkok Campus of PIM on July 5. The delegation was warmly received by Sompop Mnarungsan, President of PIM, Siam Choksawangwong, Vice President of PIM, and leaders of relevant departments.

After visiting the Pattaya Campus and Bangkok Campus, Liu Zilin exchanged ideas with Xiang Dongsheng, General Manager of LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. Asia-Pacific Branch, and leaders of PIM. Liu said that PIM is the most important stop for the journey of the LVTC delegation to Thailand. CP Group is world-renowned, and the open, pragmatic and innovative culture of PIM is impressive. The 21st century is a century of Asia and also a new century for the common development of Chinese economy and Thai economy. CP Group vigorously develops advanced manufacturing in its second century since its establishment. It will be an important option for the group to join hands with Chinese economy and enterprises. Liu conveyed the affirmation of Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education, about the cooperation between LVTC and LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. He said that the cooperation among LVTC, LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. and PIM, a typical story of China's vocational education development, is widely told in China. Jointly seizing the opportunity for development on the basis of the long-standing friendship between China and Thailand and the cooperation among the aforesaid three parties is of great significance to grabbing the commanding height of school-enterprise cooperation and industry-education integration.

Based on a good foundation of cooperation, Liu Zilin put forward new goals of cooperation. First, he hoped to build the cooperation between the three parties into a benchmark for school-enterprise cooperation for Chinese enterprises in the Thai market. Second, he hoped that LVTC and PIM would further expand the scope of cooperation to provide greater talent support for Chinese new energy vehicle enterprises and advanced manufacturing enterprises that march into the Thai market while following the trend of internationalization of China's outstanding enterprises.

The president and relevant persons in charge of PIM introduced the history, current situation and blueprint of CP Group, and how the institute serves the group's development and practices a work-based teaching mode. They thanked LVTC and LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. for support to their students majoring in engineering technology. They believed that China is at a global leading position in advanced technologies such as new energy vehicles and high-speed rail, so their students majoring in engineering technology must seek more opportunities to study in China in the future. After learning that the delegation would successively visit LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd., Gotion High-Tech, the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand, and Rayong Technical College during this journey to Thailand, leaders of PIM spoke highly of the delegation. They said that the delegation was the first delegation from a Chinese vocational college whose journey covered the Ministry of Education, schools and enterprises of Thailand received by PIM, and that the schedule reflected LVTC's strategic vision on school-enterprise coordinated development and pragmatic work style. They also expressed their willingness to further carry out in-depth cooperation with LVTC on new energy vehicles and advanced manufacturing.
