From News Center (Text and Photo by Wu Zhaohui, Office of International Exchange) To strengthen practical cooperation with ASEAN countries in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), from July 10th to 19th, An Yan, Deputy Secretary General of the China Education Association for International Exchange, led a 33-member "China-ASEAN TVET Cooperation Mission" to visit Laos, Cambodia, and Indonesia. Gan Jinming, President of LVTC, joined the delegation.
At the China-Indonesia TVET Cooperation Seminar sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Gan Jinming shared the case of tripartite cooperation among LVTC, LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd., and Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, introduced the preparations for the China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance jointly launched by the three parties, and sincerely invited Indonesian school leaders to participate in the China-Indonesia technical and vocational education and training (TVET) Industry-Education Integration Innovation Development Forum to be held in Nanning in September.
Since LVTC was selected into the first batch of "China-ASEAN TVET Outstanding Partners" this year, LVTC's pragmatic cooperation with Indonesian institutions and outstanding achievements have been supported by the exchange association. The delegation is specially arranged to visit the factories of LiuGong Indonesia and Politeknik Negeri Jakarta. The representatives of all institutions expressed their strong interest in the school-enterprise cooperation of LVTC. During the visit to Politeknik Negeri Jakarta, the delegation also visited the LiuGong - LVTC - Politeknik Negeri Jakarta International Craftsman College Training Base established in the institute. Mr. Sayadi Guatno, Director and Secretary-General of the General Department of Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia, and Mr. Yudil Chatim, Cultural Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia were also present.
In Laos, the delegation visited the Ministry of Education and Sports and Pakpasak Technical College, participated in the 2023 China-Laos TVET Cooperation Seminar, and conducted a discussion on the development direction of China-Laos TVET cooperation.
In Cambodia, the delegation visited the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Technical Education Development, the National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia, and the National Technical Training Institute, inspected and studied the operation of the Luban Workshop in Cambodia, and participated in the 2023 China-Cambodia TVET Cooperation Seminar. LVTC conducted business exchanges with a number of Cambodian institutes at the institute fair.
This is the first large-scale vocational school delegation sent by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China to ASEAN countries after the epidemic. Participating in the delegation, LVTC will gain an in-depth understanding of the development of TVET in ASEAN countries and lay the foundation for teaching along with output.
Gan Jinming presented a gift with the LVTC logo to Benson Khammong, member of the Party Committee and director of the Vocational Education Development Center of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Lao PDR.

The delegation visited the LiuGong-LVTC-Jakarta State Polytechnic International Craftsman College Training Base.
