Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College (LVTC) Selected as the First Batch of Construction Units of China-ASEAN Institutes of Modern Craftsmanship

At the opening ceremony, China-ASEAN Institutes of Modern Craftsmanship were unveiled, and "China-Indonesia Institute of Modern Craftsmanship of Intelligent Vehicle" of LVTC was selected as one of the first batch of China-ASEAN Institutes of Modern Craftsmanship. The following guests unveiled the plaque on stage: Lan Tianli, Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Chen Jie, Vice Minister of Education; Khanthaly Siriphongphanh, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports of the Lao PDR; Aung Zeya, Deputy Minister for Science and Technology of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar; OM Romny, Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Kingdom of Cambodia; Liu Youyi, Director General of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Gan Jinming, President of LVTC and our partner Mr. Zainal Nur Arifin, President of Jakarta State Polytechnic in Indonesia.

LVTC has a good foundation for international exchanges and cooperation in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Indonesia. Since August 2022, LVTC has launched the construction of "LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Indonesia Sub-center" and "LiuGong-LVTC International Craftsman College of Indonesia" Program together with LiuGong Machinery Indonesia Co., Ltd. and Jakarta State Polytechnic. The first order class enrolled 80 Indonesian students to provide effective support for the development of LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. in Indonesia. Due to the outstanding results of the Program, the three parties were selected as one of the first batch of "China-ASEAN Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Excellent Partner" and received recognition and attention from China's Ministry of Education, China Education Association for International Exchange, Indonesia's Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology and Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia. The Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region recruited the construction units of China-ASEAN Institutes of Modern Craftsmanship, and LVTC was successfully selected.

As one of the first batch of pilot provinces and regions for industry-education integration in China, Guangxi has cooperated with ASEAN countries to build 10 China-ASEAN Institutes of Modern Craftsmanship and create an ASEAN-oriented technical and vocational education and training (TVET) brand as one of its key construction tasks. At the beginning of the Program, it has attracted wide attention from the society. In the future, LVTC will promote the implementation of the Program in a highly pragmatic spirit on the basis of previous Cooperation Programs, further expand the scope of cooperation and deepen the content of collaboration, strive to take the lead in completing the construction of the Program, and set a model for international cooperation in vocational education through industry-education integration.
