Good News: LVTC Students Win First Prize in "Xuechuang Cup" National College Students Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Simulation Competition

From News Center (Text/Photo by Pan Feng from the School of General Education) On October 21, the national finals of the entrepreneurial marketing category of the 10th "Xuechuang Cup" National College Students Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Simulation Competition 2023 was held at Nanjing Audit University. With the strong support of LVTC leaders, the Office of Academic Affairs, and sister schools, LVTC students competed fiercely and finally won the first prize in the national finals.

The "Xuechuang Cup" National College Students Entrepreneurship Comprehensive Simulation Competition is an annual national competition sponsored by the Economics and Management Discipline Group of the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center Joint Association. It aims to cultivate college students' entrepreneurial awareness, improve their entrepreneurial ability, promote the vigorous development of employment and entrepreneurship education in universities, and discover and train a group of outstanding talents with innovative thinking and entrepreneurial potential. A total of 160 colleges and universities participated in the national finals, including 100 universities and 60 higher vocational colleges, with 160 teams, 480 contestants, and 260 instructors. Under the guidance of Professor Xu Ming from the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Teacher Cui Aihua from the School of General Education, LVTC's team composed of Liao Jianxin from Class 1 of Electronic Information Engineering Technology (enrolled in 2021), Xu Sai from Class 1 of Applied Technology of Computer Science (enrolled in 2022), and Fan Meiling from Class 1 of Applied Technology of Computer Science (enrolled in 2022) competed with university students.

During the competition, Liao Jianxin, Xu Sai, and Fan Meiling conducted market research and analysis according to the market model provided by the competition platform, designed commodities, and carried out promotional activities using short videos, TV, and other marketing means. They performed well in a series of simulated operations such as sales and distribution, planning funds and demands, analyzing financial indicators, and adjusting business strategies. Finally, they won the recognition of judges and university teams and were awarded the first prize.

In this competition, the LVTC team fully demonstrated the spirit of striving for the best, winning honors for LVTC. The competition has promoted learning and training, and strengthened the comprehensive innovation and entrepreneurial qualities as well as practical skills of our students. Once again, it showcases LVTC's achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship education to society. After the competition, the contestants said that after returning to school, they would integrate the spirit of struggle and seeking excellence promoted by the competition into their study, drive their schoolmates to make progress together, further improve their skills, and strive to make contributions in the new era.
