LVTC Holds the Opening Ceremony of "China-ASEAN TVET Capacity Building Activities 2023 - Advanced Manufacturing"

From News Center (Text by Luo Hongbo and Lv Jiayang from School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering; Photo by Li Zhuo from the Publicity Department of the CPC LVTC Committee) In order to promote exchanges and cooperation with schools and enterprises in countries along the Belt and Road and propel the "go global" and "bring in" of technical and vocational education and training (TVET), the Opening Ceremony of "China-ASEAN TVET Capacity Building Activities 2023 - Advanced Manufacturing", sponsored by China Education Association for International Exchange and organized by LVTC Office of International Exchange and School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, was held at T1-D201, Guantang Campus on the morning of November 28, 2023. Saryadi, S.T., M.B.A, Secretary of Deputy Minister in charge of TVET, The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (MoECRT); Yudil Chatim, Education & Culture Attache of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Beijing; Yang Rui, Senior Program Director of Vocational Training Department of China Education Association for International Exchange; Wei Lin, Vice President of LVTC, as well as all trainees attended the opening ceremony.
On the opening ceremony, Wei Lin delivered a welcome speech and thanked China Education Association for International Exchange and all participating organizations for their support. Saryadi, S.T., M.B.A and Yudil Chatim expressed their hope to promote bilateral cooperation in advanced manufacturing and other fields through the Activities. Yang Rui said that the Activities aims to promote cooperation between China and ASEAN in the field of TVET and improve teaching level and talent cultivation quality. Ella Sundari, a teacher representative of Indonesian TVET schools, expected to improve her vocational skills through this training class and contribute to regional economic development. At the end of the event, Wang Fuchun, Deputy Dean of School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, introduced the schedule of the training course.
It is reported that the trainees come from seven Indonesian schools, namely Balikpapan State Polytechnic, Jakarta State Polytechnic, Semarang State Polytechnic, Ujung Pandang State Polytechnic, Bandung Institute of Technology, Sriwijaya State Polytechnic and Batam State Polytechnic. The training contents focus on PLC application technology, industrial robot control technology and other advanced manufacturing technology, with an aim to improve the trainees' professional skills and practical ability in the field of advanced manufacturing. At present, China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance has a total of 128 members, including 61 vocational colleges in China, 49 public polytechnic institutes and community colleges in Indonesia, 18 Chinese enterprises with business in Indonesia and local enterprises in Indonesia. The Alliance aims to build a platform for pragmatic cooperation in TVET between China and Indonesia, so as to cultivate high-level international technical and skilled talent for Indonesian enterprises and Chinese enterprises in Indonesia. The first activity of "China-ASEAN TVET Capacity Building Activities 2023 - Advanced Manufacturing" was successfully held at LVTC, marking that the cooperation between China and ASEAN in the field of TVET had entered a new stage. It is believed that with the joint efforts of both parties in the future, TVET will become an important bridge of China-ASEAN cooperation and inject new impetus into common prosperity and development.
