From News Center (Text by Liu Peiyun from the School of General Education; Photo by Pan Feng from the School of General Education) On March 13, the First National College Student Career Planning Competition (Guangxi Division) concluded its finals at Guangxi Normal University. Lan Maozu from the School of Automotive Engineering and He Yinhuan from the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Liuzhou Vocational and Technical College (LVTC) distinguished themselves in the regional online semi-finals, each securing district-level Gold Awards. Subsequently, they achieved excellent results in the finals, winning the second and third Gold Awards respectively in the finals.

It is reported that the competition was sponsored by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, co-sponsored by the Employment and Entrepreneurship Guidance Center for College Graduates in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and undertaken by Guangxi Normal University. The competition was divided into four groups: Growth Track (Higher Education Group), Growth Track (Vocational Education Group), Employment Track (Higher Education Group) and Employment Track (Vocational Education Group). Following intense inter-school contests and regional online semi-finals, a total of 81 contestants advanced to the final round of the competition. The finals consisted of two parts: the thematic presentation and the question-and-answer session with the judges. The objective is to assess the scientific rigor in the participants' career development plans and their progress toward achieving their career goals. It encourages ongoing learning and practical experience to facilitate the attainment of participants' career objectives while improving their comprehensive quality and ability, thus propelling their career progression. In his career plan presentation, Lan Maozu exhibited the dedication and expertise he had cultivated on his journey toward becoming a vehicle quality inspector in Liuzhou. He Yinhuan structured his career planning report into five sections, outlining a strategic blueprint for his future as a laser processing technician. Both of them gave wonderful answers to the judges' questions and finally secured the second and third Gold Awards respectively.

Placing high significance on the career planning and employment guidance of college students, LVTC organized teachers from the employment and entrepreneurship teaching team within the School of General Education to diligently steer students in engaging with the competition and assist entrants in refining their entries. Through this effort, LVTC aims to inspire an increasing number of students to stay informed about career planning and employment developments, as well as to support graduates in achieving fuller and higher-quality employment. LVTC will leverage this competition as a launching pad to further enhance career education and employment guidance for college students. By raising students' awareness of the importance of career planning, it hopes to direct them toward making effective career plans and ultimately lead them toward a more fulfilling life.
