LVTC and LiuGong Jointly Launch the Construction of the International Craftsman College of Vietnam
Scene of the Signing Ceremony
On May 24, Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (LVTC) and LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. (LiuGong) joined hands again and solemnly signed an agreement with Vietnam's Hanoi College for Electro-Mechanics (HCEM) to initiate the construction of the International Craftsman College of Vietnam. The purpose of this move is to facilitate the development of LiuGong Vietnam and meet LiuGong's demand for local technical and skilled talent in Vietnam.
Zheng Dawei, Education Counselor of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan An, Deputy Director of the Organization and Personnel Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, Zhang Ruitao, Aftermarket Director of the International Business Department of LiuGong, Dong Van Ngac, President of HCEM, and Ju Hongxia, Vice President of LVTC, attended the signing ceremony.
Speeches by the Leader of the School/Enterprise
Dong Van Ngac expressed a strong willingness to cooperate in his speech. He hoped that in addition to the LiuGong project, cooperation could be carried out in China's advanced technology fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and new energy vehicles. Zhang Ruitao introduced LiuGong's development in Vietnam, highlighting that Vietnam was LiuGong's first stop after the company launched its globalization strategy in 2002. He expressed his expectation for the project signed this time by describing it as "a happy moment that arrives late". Ju Hongxia introduced the progress of LVTC-LiuGong cooperation in running schools overseas and held high hopes for this cooperation.

The classic model that LVTC and LiuGong used to jointly build International Craftsman Colleges with local schools in Thailand and Indonesia will be copied to construct the International Craftsman College of Vietnam. The responsibilities of the three parties will be divided, with LiuGong providing equipment, LVTC providing standards, training and certification, and HCEM providing venues and faculty. Meanwhile, the project design will be optimized and upgraded. On the basis of serving LiuGong and with the support of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the resources of other Chinese-funded enterprises in Vietnam will be integrated for the high-quality and joint development of a new benchmark for China-Vietnam vocational education cooperation.
Exchange of Souvenirs Between the Leaders of the Two Schools
After the signing ceremony, Minister-Counselor Wu Guoquan and Education Counselor Zheng Dawei from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam met with the leaders of LVTC and LiuGong. They discussed how to implement the spirit of the joint statement on deepening vocational education cooperation between the two countries during President Xi Jinping's visit to Vietnam in December 2023, and how to further integrate the resources of Chinese-funded enterprises to apply for national brand projects for the internationalization of vocational education.
